Bunjil over Naarm

Bunjil (creation spirit for Aboriginal Victorians) flies over Naarm watching over people gathered around the Birrarung with emus (representing Boon Wurrung peoples) nearby.

Known for its coffee, art and cultural fusion, Naarm is a meeting place for people from all walks of life.

Bunjil, the Eagle, created the peoples, animals, plants, skies, waters and all of Naarm. He watches over us and the ways we respect each other and the lands.

The Birrarung is a precious part of Wurundjeri Dreaming; its spirit flows through Naarm where our peoples (the Eastern Kulin Nation) have gathered for centuries. Contemporarily, the Birrarung continues to be a wayfinder for all peoples in Naarm
